I picked this pattern up at Quiltcon 2015. The pattern is “RGB” (for red, green, blue) by Twin Cities Quilting. But I see it as belt buckles. I make my signature rounded corners. I do this not because it looks cool but because it’s easier than square corners.
I initially picked out this fabric for the green. I made two of the buckles and stared at them from my desk at a distance of 10 feet and kept having to remind myself that it was red-green-blue, not red-yellow-blue. From a distance, this green fabric reads as yellow:
I swapped that out for a real green and went with these three:
The rest of the fabrics are mostly from the scrap pile. Lee Jenkins did the lovely quilting.
