I created this quilt for the AIDS Services of Dallas No-Tie silent auction fundraiser. The pattern is from Modern Quilt Studio, specifically in their Modern Quilts Illustrated #3, “Making Waves.”

The white is RJR Optic White. The blues and greens are a selection of batiks, some of which I had on hand and some of which I ordered. The backing is Cotton & Steel Solid Dusty Blue.

I kept track of time and money spent on this quilt because I was curious. It took about 15 hours and about $100 in fabric plus $41 to get it quilted (by Allison Bayer).
