Phoebe picked out the pattern and the color scheme. We ordered a small bits of fabric to audition them and decided on what you see in the color card, a combination of Superior Solids and Moda Bella. The back is Jennifer Sampou’s Chalk & Charcoal Topaz. Plus the stripe I made of front fabric plus a lot of the auditioned fabric that didn’t make it to the front. The front is so beautiful and regular where everything goes as expected in straight lines. The stripe on the back is improv pieced with curves and slanted lines to remind Phoebe that sometimes life doesn’t go as you expect. There are curves and swerves along the way.
