I’m glad this quilt is not leaving the house. This is Michael’s new lap quilt, to replace the blanket he’s been using for 20+ years that was a gift from the mother of an ex-girlfriend.

The pattern (called “Swatch”) and fabric are the work of the incredibly talented duo behind Modern Quilt Studio, Weeks Ringle and Bill Kerr. The fabrics are from their Color Collection. You might not be able to tell from the photo, but all the fabrics other than the white are prints. I’m in love with this line. Just look at the line organized this way and you can see how the quilt is possible:
