Hedgehog

Hedgehog

This became a pillow for Phoebe. One hedgehog down and I realized I wasn’t making anymore. Fortunately, I just used scraps and hadn’t bought a whole quilt worth of fabric.

Ingrid Postcard

Ingrid Postcard

I don’t recall all the details, but these little postcard sized quilts were sold during a quilt show in Chicago to raise money for a local animal shelter. On the left is the original picture of my cat Ingrid and on the right is my quilt postcard.

Karina’s Wedding Quilt

Karina's Wedding Quilt

In celebration of Karina Montgomery and Colin Walsh’s wedding January 24, 2016, I made this quilt. Karina introduced Michael and me to each other back in the summer of 1994 at the Barley House in Dallas. I met Karina when I was living in Austin and going to graduate school; Michael has know her since […]

Charley Harper Cheetahs Quilt

Charley Harper Cheetahs Quilt

This clever quilt is based on the artwork of American artist Charley Harper, best known for his highly stylized wildlife prints. It uses a combination of applique and reverse-applique. I used Wonder Under 805R as the double-sided fusible backing and it’s a little stiff. I’d like to find something less stiff to work with in the […]

Christmas Quilt

Christmas Quilt 2015

This is just a swatch panel for Hoffman’s #1895 Bali Watercolor Palette. I bought the panel with no plan on how to use it but realized that it had to be made into a quilt for Phoebe. She loves it! The back is Manatee and the border is Cabana, both fabrics from the line. I […]

Sails/Icebergs

Sails

Blue/green sails. Or maybe turn it the other way and call it Icebergs.   This was inspired by a quilt Bette Pat Graves worked on at Quilt Camp in the Spring. I used a range of Kona solids on it, something close to the colors at the left. I say “close to” because I might have […]

Glyphs

Glyphs

Edit: I posted a picture of this quilt on Modern Quilt Studio’s Facebook page. This was their response: “I meant to comment earlier Lynn on just how fantastic the colorwork and splicing are on your Glyphs quilt. I love seeing finished projects from classes. It was great having you in the workshop and look forward […]

Belt Buckles

Belt Buckles

I picked this pattern up at Quiltcon 2015. The pattern is “RGB” (for red, green, blue) by Twin Cities Quilting. But I see it as belt buckles. I make my signature rounded corners. I do this not because it looks cool but because it’s easier than square corners. I initially picked out this fabric for the […]

Alligators

Alligators

Sometimes I make things other than quilts. I had almost given up on stuffed animals after the 2008 debacle with Frankencat and last year’s Franklin the 3-legged cat, but I think this one is a keeper. The original green one is named Lennie and Phoebe named hers Jasmine.
